There have been panic in the city of Aba, Abia state for some days now following the clash of the Nigerian Army and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Governor Ikpeazu of Abia state earlier declared three days curfew to Aba residents due to the ongoing crisis but it doesn’t seem to be subsiding any soon as there are reports that the market police station has been burnt down by youths and one person has been reportedly shot dead by a stray bullet.
Residents of Aba have taken to their various social media platforms to inform the public about the appalling state of the city whilst pleading that the government take necessary measures to avert further mishaps.
