Dele Farotimi: My battle axes are newly sharpened

A human rights activist and lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has said that his battle axes are newly sharpened.

Farotimi spoke via his X handle days after he was released from the Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State Correctional Centre over a criminal libel case.

The first case was reported to the police by Chief Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, while the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, activated another.

Farotimi said on his X handle on Sunday without referring to the court cases: “I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers, but I am human enough to retain the capacity to shed tears of joy in appreciation of the grace of God, expressed in the concerted efforts of fellow victims.

“My battle axes are newly sharpened, my guns primed, I am ready to war.”
