On 8th August, 2022 Lagos State Government re-introduced History to Lagos State Public and Private Schools. We as a Foundation commend the LASG and the Ministry of Education for approval of The Textbook of West African History by Adekunle Ojelabi (1000AD to the present day) 1st published in 1970 into the Curriculum till 2023.
On Wednesday 17th August, 2022 , 12noon at the N.I.I.A, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, I celebrated the legacy of my Late Dad. Adekunle Ojelabi, an Erudite Academician and Foremost Historian.
Prof Konyinsola Ajayi, SAN was the Keynote Speaker. Other speakers are Prof Bayo Olukoshi, Prof Eghosa Osaghae DG, NIIA under the Chairmanship of highly respected National Leader of Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo.
The updated version of this book was show cased at a price of N10,000 only and also an exhibition of three (3) other History books 📚 by the Author.
The Launching of the NIGERIA HISTORY FUND took place and was inaugurated by Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON at the 2nd Memorial Lecture on 17th August. 2020 to champion the cause of re-engineering History as a subject and catalyst for National development.
