Nigerians React to Northern Groups’ 30-Day Ultimatum for Return of RUGA Policy

Following the suspension of the establishment of RUGA settlements, the spokesperson for the Coalition of Northern Groups, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, in a video has ordered the federal and state governments to bring back the RUGA Settlements Project within 30 days. He reminded the nation that herdsmen have the right to live and flourish in any part of the country.

The spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez who said this on Channels Television had insisted that failure to do so will result in them resorting to their own ‘decisive line of action’.

Nigerians have reacted to this on Twitter, saying that the Fulani Herdsmen have no right to ‘threaten’ the nation or declare a ‘war’ on people.

So a group came on tv, gave press briefing giving 30 days ultimatum to FG and States to reverse suspension of RUGA settlements. These people will walk free while DSS will pick young people up for tweets. Another group would be called terrorists for doing same
