Scooter Braun’s wife has taken to Instagram to call out Taylor Swift for criticizing her husband. She also used the opportunity to share her side of the story.
In her post, Taylor was angered that talent manager, Scooter Braun had bought her master recordings, thereby giving him ownership of her music catalog. This angered Taylor because she said Scooter is a man who has bullied her over the years.
A number of celebrities, including Justin Bieber and Halsey took sides with Scooter after Taylor shared a blog post on Tumblr, speaking her mind.
Now, Yael Cohen Braun, the wife of Scooter Braun is speaking up in her husband’s defence.
In a post captioned, “@taylorswift, I’m here to talk privately any time,” Yael alleges that Taylor was given a heads-up about the deal before her husband Scooter bought her master recordings. She also claims Taylor was even given a chance to own her masters but she passed on the opportunity.
But a spokesperson for Swift denied that her father Scott knew of the deal in advance, telling People: “Scott Swift is not on the board of directors and has never been. On June 25, there was a shareholder phone call that Scott Swift did not participate in due to a very strict NDA that bound all shareholders and prohibited any discussion at all without risk of severe penalty.”
