Simi posts lovely video of daughter singing for Adekunle Gold on 37th birthday

Singer Simi on Sunday posted on social media a heartwarming video of her daughter Adejare singing for her father Adekunle Gold on his 37th birthday.

Adejare, born in May 2020, concluded her song by saying she loved her father.

In the caption for the post, Simi left her husband praises in Yoruba to express her love for him.

She wrote: “Ọmọ moróunfólú okùn oyè o. Ajíbísẹ́ ọ̀gá ogun. Wọ́n lé ẹ ní páápá. Wọ́n lé ẹ ní palàsà. Apá ilé ò gbọdọ̀ r”oko. Ìlasà ilé ò gbọdọ̀ r’ odò. Pamú pamù, jigí jigì. Baba rẹ lò pa màrò b’ẹni, Pa ‘gbín. Ògbórí olòrì kalẹ̀l’òòrùn gangan. Happy Birthday Ife Mi.”

Simi and Adekunle Gold, both musicians, got married in January 2019.

Last year, Adekunle Gold dropped a single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ featuring Simi. The song has been getting positive reviews since its release.
