What we know about Mohbad’s death so far

The death of singer Mohbad on Tuesday, September 12 has continued to shock his fans and those who did not know him until his passing.

There have been several controversies and conspiracy theories about the cause of his death, given the fact that the 27-year-old was buried the next day without an autopsy.

Mohbad leaves behind his wife Omowunmi and a son Liam who turned five months old the day his father died.

Numerous fans, celebrities and other personalities have mourned and paid tributes to the singer since the news of his death broke.

Video and audio recordings have also surfaced on social media about vicious assaults allegedly carried out by agents of his former label Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley.

In a particular video, show promoter and Naira Marley’s associate Sam Larry and some unidentified persons are seen storming a studio where Mohbad and fellow singer Zlatan Ibile were working allegedly with the intent to harm them.

A petition filed by Mohbad dated June 27 against Sam Larry alleging assault and destruction of property also surfaced on social media.

Sam Larry then deactivated his Instagram account and put out a video saying he did not harm or kill Mohbad.
